PROJECT OUTLINE
The FAIR PAY project aims to contribute in eliminating the gender pay gap and in addressing its root causes; its main objective is achieving pay transparency in private and public sector enterprises and in the world of work in Greece, in accordance to the European Directive 2023/970 on pay transparency.
More specifically, FAIR PAY aims to pilot-test the implementation of the Directive’s provisions and to identify potential challenges before Greece puts into force, as obliged, the laws, regulations and administrative provisions necessary to comply with the Directive.
The project’s objectives are:
- Identifying and knowledge sharing of good practices on pay transparency systems and tools, development of guidance, tools, and checklists for the assessment of equal pay for equal work or work of equal value within the same employer, including the implementation of gender-neutral job evaluation and classification systems,
- capacity building of employers, company actors and employees on gender transparency and assessing equal pay for equal work or work of equal value and implementing gender-neutral job evaluation and classification systems in order to provide the necessary know-how in designing and applying initiatives for pay transparency,
- raising awareness on the importance of pay transparency highlighting the benefits arising from gender neutral working conditions and initiatives that promote gender equality both for employers and employees,
- promotion of friendly working environments for women and men in order to enhance gender equality in the Greek labour market via consultation and knowledge sharing,
- highlighting the importance of pay transparency.
- In order to meet the above objectives, FAIR PAY includes a series of actions, such as the exchange of good practices, consultation with stakeholders, production of educational material for employers and employees, capacity building seminars and publicity, awareness-raising and networking actions among stakeholders.
